I’m not going to comment on the results of the midterm election except to say that the anticipated “Red Wave” never happened. My last article covered my thoughts on elections and government. What I marvel at is the power John D. Rockefeller is still wielding over the mind of man today. One man changed the very nature of our understanding of what causes disease from disparate, and many times unknown, origins to a single theory of why we get sick: germ theory. It’s a feat that cannot be understated. What we got from his efforts is the easy and widely accepted belief that there are little germs running around out there that have it in for us. There is no need to look further. You’ve got a bug. There, fixed it for you. Here, take this pill, you’ll feel better.
